Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, wields a giant virtual reality headgear, Butterscotch. It's a prototype that

will only be used for research purposes. However, it is a piece of the problem

Meta is attempting to solve to make its dreams for the metaverse a reality.

Butterscotch's visual quality is around two and a half times that of the Quest 2, the consumer VR headset

Meta offers, and is essential to making virtual worlds appear more lifelike.

Zuckerberg stated in a video conference that the quality is sufficient

enough for people to view items well from 20 feet away.

Zuckerberg's lofty concept for the metaverse reads like something out of a science fiction novel.

He wants people using his headsets to feel like they are in the company of a loved one or coworker.
